"Dogs have special abilities to reduce stress in the work place and increase job satisfaction." Per study by Virginia Commonwealth University.

Some businesses allow their employees to bring their pets every day and even offer pet insurance. However, don't bring your pet if it doesn't have good manners, house trained or sick.

Having pets on premises, employees are more content, active and productive

Increased camaraderie..."Let's face it, everyone has a co-worker that they just can't stand. But what if that person had a cute Labrador Retriever or Shih Tzu with them in the cubicle? You'd be over there in a flash just like everyone else in the office. Suddenly you are all having conversations that strengthen work relationships beyond what any cheesy team-building exercise might do."

I don't know how you view your pet, but mine I love like it was my child. I've always had some sort of pet growing up...dogs, cats, pig, goat, chickens just to name a few. However, I was never allowed to let them in the house. So I never had a pet that was with me all the time until my boys moved out and they were afraid I would be lonely, so that's when I got Lucy. I loved her so much I told my boys if I had her first, I would have never had them.

When I moved to Florida my daughter-in-law thought Lucy might be lonely and she gave us Gidget aka co-pilot. Lucy never liked my daughter-in-law again and it took some time for Gidget to win our hearts because she wanted all the attention. That's how she became the co-pilot, Lucy had front seat and Gidget squeezed onto the center console.

One of the many reasons I love being a Realtor, I'm able to take my co-pilot with me whenever I want. She loves to meet people and help them with their home search.
