An Iconic A Frame

No matter where you were raised, there are a few houses that remain in your memory. I grew up in New York, on the Hudson River Vally, and when thinking back I can vividly see the stained glass doorways and windows of a classic Victorian or the mammoth porch of my favorite Colonial. I can recall a quirky rectangular place that was odd but absolutely  stunning at the same time. Of course there was that one old scary house that, looking back, wasn't that scary of a house! Different Home designs can produce sustainable feelings and impact your journey. I know I always have a fondness to homes that are a little different, a little more fun.

This morning, I'm getting ready to list one of those homes right here in the HEART of Destin Florida. That iconic  "A-frame on Stahlman".

With almost 2400 square feet, this anything but typical home sits on a Gigantic corner lot. Massive Oaks and Magnolias still remain on this rare treasured piece of Destin property. With its distinctive design and features, this home will be perfect for that buyer who's looking for something special, different than the new construction style homes of today. Or possibly someone passionate about this area, who wants to own a slice of Destins History.

This home is just 1/2 mile from the Choctawhatchee Bay where you'll find it teeming with Redfish, jumping mullet and graceful dolphins. Close proximity to the bay is one thing but close to the Bay AND the Gulf Pass is a Dream come true!  Only ONE MILE to the Harbor and Destins Beautiful Emerald Waters! Take a 10 minute stroll to the Bay, grab some lunch or get picked up by boat at Calhoun Park!  OR ride just FOUR short minutes and the "Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village" famous docks great you, open for fishing, dining, sunset sailing or just about any family fun thing you can think of!

My husband was born and raised in Destin and there are a few homes that usher the feels when he thinks back.  Two located on Holiday Isle, each hand built with pride by his grand father and father. Another would be his mothers home right off Calhoun where he was born and raised in what the locals know as "old destin, the heart of it all".  And another is that "A-frame on Stahlman", the most unique home you will ever see in Destin

Some homes just stick. Stay in your mind, stay in your heart and stay in a community. I'm grateful and very excited to be listing this home soon and will update the blog when it goes live. This will be a must see for sure!

God Bless~
