It’s Halloween and it finally feels like fall! Nothing like the first chilly day to get us in the mood for the holiday season.  Now to look forward to the quintessential autumn holiday...Thanksgiving!

Here are my picks for celebrating Thanksgiving at the beach:

Start the day right with a little exercise...

The 30a 10k Thanksgiving Day Race(s) is a great way to earn that turkey dinner. With 1 mile, 5k, and 10k options, there is something for everyone. For more information and to register, visit:

Now to switch gears to the real focus of the day...the food!

Don’t feel like cooking? Leave the cooking up the to pros, but still enjoy the comforts of home with these take-away options from some local favorites:

Roux 30a is offering up a classic Thanksgiving feast including turkey, potatoes, and pumpkin pie, complete with the option to deliver! It doesn’t get any easier. Cafe 30a offers a pick up dinner, or you can make reservations to dine in. With a twist of tradition, they are offering fried turkey (yum) with several side and dessert options as well. To browse the menu, check out:

Excerise, food, now what?

Don’t forget we live in paradise, and the weather could be quite pleasant! A walk on the beach, sunset, or bonfire are awesome ways to spend holidays with the family.

There you have my top picks for Turkey Day on 30a. Enjoy the day and....the food :)
