Spring Break In South Walton
This past week has been full of adventure. My grand children came to visit for their spring break and they never slow down. We always try to do something different every time they visit and it usually takes me a couple of days to recover after they leave. This time we decided to go to a couple of State Parks they have not visited.
Eden State Park is located in Point Washington and if you haven't visited it is truly a beautiful park with gardens, trails, picnic tables and more. I love all the beautiful oak trees and gardens. Big bonus I can take my co-pilot Gidget and my grand daughter took her side kick Ziggy. It was his first time to see a squirrel and it was quite a sight since he pulled her down and was dragging her a little...wish I had been recording.
We also went to Camp Helen State Park which is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Powell. Whether you are visiting, planning to move here or you are a local. Don't forget about our beautiful parks. We are so fortunate to have so many so close to us. Maybe we will see you there on our next visit.
